Hints on Defeating

Almost all sources available (including RaidWiki, EQ2 RaidMobs, and many guilds) suggest that the key to defeating this monster is to kill him first and either ignore, mez, or charm the summoned ghastly seedlings. The initial wave of summoned seedlings return to the encounter after they are killed, but as epic versions (with considerable spell-casting ability), making it a wise choice to keep them alive until after Urzyd is dead.
