Starting the Collection
Most Collection Quests begin by examining any of the members of that collection, which are harvested from special, random ground spawning nodes using the Collecting harvesting skill. Members of this collection can be found as follows:
- Hidden Purple: Purple shiny sparkles named with a question mark(?) over them. These can only be seen while wearing one of the Tinkered Excavation Hats or the Excavation Helmet.

Rewards
- Experience
- Archeologist's Token of the Excavation -- A purple orb house item that, when rubbed, ports you to the Airship dock in the Sinking Sands. This item can only be placed in your house, it cannot be placed in a Guild Hall.
Special Notes
A Note on the D.I.R.T.Y. Phases
Originally only the worn and broken trinkets were available during Phase 1 of the D.I.R.T.Y. project. The stained trinkets and silvered trinkets became available later. The silvered trinkets are markedly more rare than the other types.
