[edit] Starting the Quest

Quest starters are Trades Coordinators:

• Gorowyn - Grandmaster Jayak Lat'wasr in Gorowyn, The Wards
• Freeport - Grandmaster Kawayzer in West Freeport
• Kelethin - Grandmaster Feldmanus in Tunare's Pages in the area with the broker
• Qeynos - Grandmaster Kimbialis at the The Ironforge Exchange in North Qeynos
• Neriak - Grandmaster Zyrythius in the Dockside Markets

[edit] Steps

1. Harvest 10 severed briarwood from Zek, the Orcish Wastes and 10 severed briarwood from The Enchanted Lands.
2. Return to the Grandmaster.
3. Craft two termite tested briarwood using the recipe received from the quest, 10 severed briarwood, and 4 gel wax candle. Scribe the recipe from Apothecary's Handbook of Chemical Testing for Pests given to you by the Grandmaster
4. Return to the Grandmaster for your reward.

The NPC will warn you that crafting the test up is unusually difficult, which is correct. While not overwhelmingly hard, this task follows some special rules. In particular, countering a crafting event while doing the test does not appear to have the usual beneficial effects. It is thus recommended that you craft more defensively than for a normal crafting task.

• Tradeskill Experience (20% @ level 30 w/20% tradeskill bonus)
• +500 Faction with your city's crafting faction
• One advanced book level 30-39 for your tradeskill class or Provisioner Mastery volume 2 for Provisioners.
• As of LU44, one artisan cloak for your class (example: Cloak of the Sage). This can also be bought from the Grandmaster if you did the quest before LU44.
