This guide is the new starting area for the new Dragon race called the Sarnak. The starting area appears to be 3 .The first island is called Chrykori Isle, which this particular Quest Guide covers. The main point of this guide is to give you an overview of what to do here. After viewing the opening movie, you are placed at the southeastern section of the island here. Right near you is Tykor Gi’lok, who has your first quest to work on.

  1. Poaching the Poachers (Level 1), given by Tykor Gi’lok.

  3. Stuffed Gorger Claws (Level 2), given by Taroche Dry’Zok.
    • Kill the Grit Gorgers in the waters to the northwest of here and then return to Taroche Dry’Zok with 4 Grit Gorger Claws. Reward: 56 Copper Coins.
    • You can now work on Quest 3.The small pond is just behind Tykor Gi’lok to the northwest of Taroche Dry’Zok. Kill the Grit Gorgers in this pond until you obtain all 4 Grit Gorger Claws. After this, go due west across the pond where you will see Haoaeran Diggers working on the Curious Ore. Kill these enemies as needed so you can mine the Curious Ore until you can obtain all 3 Curious Ore Samples. After you have all 7 items (4 Claws and 3 Samples), you can head east back across the pond and first talk to Tykor Gi’lok for your reward for Quest 2. He will then have this quest for you.

    • As the quest suggests, head due east from Taroche Dry’Zok. You will see Citizen Niba’Ouz fishing at the other side of the water here.Talk to him using the phrase that you have some special bait for him for your reward for Quest 5. If you ask him what he is doing, he will then have this quest for you.
  6. Fish of the Chrykori Isle (Level 3), given by Citizen Niba’Ouz.Obtain 3 Chrykori Saltfin Fish by fishing in the waters here and then return to Citizen Niba’Ouz. Reward: 26 Copper Coins.

He mentions to you that the biggest fish around is Vethka the Gorger and that no one has ever caught this fish and to let him know if you ever find him.At this point, you should only have Quest 4 left to do. From Tykor Gi’lok, head due north and you will soon see a ramp going up a hill.Take this ramp to get to . After you arrive, you can first talk to Primary Conzuk Zum’ha for your reward for Quest 4.He will then have this quest for you.
  8. Disrupting Haoaeran Studies (Level 4), given by Primary Conzuk Zum’ha.
  9. Chrykori Relics (Level 3), given by Civ-Parser Di’Xin.Search the shores near and then return to Civ-Parser Di’Xin with 6 Uneartherd Relics. Reward: 65 Copper Coins.
  10. Hopefully the Meat Isn’t Timeworn (Level 3), given by Varkori Riz’Lul.
    • Go to the Timeworn Pools to the west of Chrykori Village and kill the Briny Lizards in this area and then return to Varkori Riz’Lul with 4 Briny Lizard Meat. Reward: 55 Copper Coins.

From the Docks, look south along the beach and around the pool at the edge of the water for the Unearthed Relics.Once you find one, right click on it to collect it and put it in your inventory. Keep doing this until you have all 6 of them. Please note that a lot of the relics can be found at the very north end of the pool. After this, head back up the ramp to and talk to Civ-Parser Di’Xin for your reward for Quest 9.He will then have this quest for you.

    • At this point, you have Quests 8, 10 and 11 to work on.
    • All 3 are either at Timeworn Pools or just north of Timeworn Pools. Thus, you should now travel to find the Timeworn Pools. Note that on your way west, if you have your zone map opened that there are some quest givers just west of the southwest corner of the first pool that you already know about. For now, ignore these quests but keep in mind for later. Thus, continue due west until you get to the area that has what appears to be a large tear drop on the map, which is Timeworn Pools. You can now work on Quests 10 and 11 here. At this area, kill the Briny Lizards and the Haoaeran Scavengers until you have all 8 items (4 Briny Lizard Meat and 4 Scavenged Relics). After this, look at your zone map and you will see a star symbol to the north of the Timeworn Pools. Head over to this star symbol and you will find the cave for Quest 8. Kill the Haoaeran Excavators and/or the Haoeran Taskers here until you have all 4 kills. Be careful as the Taskers will attack you on sight. After this, enter the cave and you should see an Excavated Debris on the ground. When you see one, right click on it to gather it into your inventory.Continue to gather the Tortoise Eggs until you have all 6 needed for this quest (you will encounter no resistance in doing so). Then continue west until you reach the Timeworn Pools. If you look at you zone map, you will see a 2nd smaller pool to the west of the main pool that is in the shape of a backwards letter C. Here in this smaller pool are the Crusty Rustbeasts.Kill these enemies until you have all 5 Acid Sacs you need for Quest 14. After this, head slightly south from the bigger Pool (you may have to go around a stone barrier. You should soon see some Haoaerans at an Altar Site (3 Haoaeran Ritualists and 1 Power Infused Haoaeran). This will be your first big battle test as the Ritualists are all Level 6.If you can, try to try one at a time to kill all 3 of them. If you are successful, the Power Infused Haoaeran will say that you will pay for killing the Ritualists, but the Ritual is cut short and he quickly dies. After this, you can now return east back to (use zone map as needed). Once you arrive, first talk to Primary Conzuk Zum’ha for your reward for Quest 12.He will then have this quest for you.

    • Deliver the Crusty Rustbeast Acid to Secondary Arozik Sky’Ki, who is located in Trythec Loft to the southwest of (up a wooden ramp).Reward: 1 Silver Coin and 7 Copper Coins.
    • After this, head towards what looks to be a triangular shaped icon on your zone map that is southeast of the Timeworn Pools area. Right where the Haoaeran Diggers are located (from Quest 2 above), you should see a wooden ramp.Take this wooden ramp until you reach the area of Trythec Loft. Head to the hut in this area and first talk to Secondary Arozik Sky’Ki for your rewards for Quest 15 by selecting the “Primary Zum’Ha directed me to report to you” talk bubble. He will then have this quest for you.
  17. Haoaeran Poisons (Level 6), given by Secondary Arozik Sky’Ki.

    • You can now work on these 3 new quests (Quests 17 to 19).
    • First, kill the Skittering Monitors in this area until you have all 6 Poison Glands for Quest 17.To do Quest 18 is a little harder. You will have to begin attacking a Skittering Monitor and then as you are fighting, try to walk over to one of the Filament Strangler Plants (this is harder than it sounds as when in combat you cannot just normally walk as it stays in the fight with the enemy). If successful, the Plant will grab the Skittering Monitor and quickly transform it into a Filament Encapsulated Monitor. Right click on this new Monitor to gather it into your inventory.Repeat this process until you have all 3 Monitors that you need for Quest 18 (please note that some of the Skittering Monitors wander themselves into the Filament Strangler Plants and turn into the Filiament Encapsulated Monitors. Thus you could just wait until 3 of them did this and pick them up more easily). This now leaves Quest 19 to do. • Head due southwest to the end at the mountain here and then go west along the path by the mountain to the end of this path. Kill the Turf-Hunters as you go and at the end of this path you will find Valcryn.Kill him to obtain his Head and Pride Feathers. Once you have killed him, head back to the hut where the quest givers are located.Once here, head due south to find the Dead Sarnak Scout for Quest 20 that is guarded by 2 Satiated Raptors. Kill the Raptors and then right click on the Dead Sarnak Scout to retrieve his Log Book. Now, turn around in place and you should see 2 of the Trythec Roots here very close to the Scout.Right click on these Roots to gather them into your inventory. Head further south and search the area for more of the Roots. When you have all 5 Roots, you can now return to the hut to the north (you can also first head towards the ocean and see the scenery heading east along the cliffs if you want). Off to your right, you should see a rope ladder.Walk into the ladder and you will begin to climb up it to the next small area where the next ladder is located. While doing this, right click on the barrels they are guarding to destroy them until you have done this to 5 different barrels.(Note that there are only 3 each of the enemies and barrels in this area off to the right. You may need to head due southeast to the other side from here to find more along a 2nd wall).Once you have all 12 items (7 Dead Advancers and 5 Destroyed Barrels), you can head back east and first talk to Tertiary Dih’Ha for your reward for Quest 28. Try drawing them one at a time to kill them.Once only the Captain is left, go ahead and kill him as well. (Please note that there is another quest here in this area to free a Captive Griffon. The quest is given by an item seen on the ground. I inadvertently declined the quest and I could not get the item on the ground to reappear again as it appears that it only shows up after killing the Captain the first time.In addition, the quest says that the Captain is in a cave. However, there is no such cave at the end of the path here.)After killing the Captain, head back south to the main area where you earlier did Quests 28 and 29. Kill the enemies as you go and then talk to each of the Captive Sarnak to free them.Continue to do this until you have freed a total of 5 Sarnak for Quest 27. 34. Wrecking Crew for the Wrecked Crew, given by Standard Hir’Vin.
    • Kill 8 Blackshield Pirates on the southern beach here and then return to Standard Hir’Vin.Reward: 3 Silver Coins and 65 Copper Coins.
    • Now head south to the beach. Kill the various Blackshield Pirates until you have all 8 kills (note that in doing this you may want to consider heading east along the beach to finish mapping out the area here) and then return to Standard Hir’Vin for your reward for Quest 34.He will then have this quest for you.

    • Speak with the Griffon Tamer to the west of here and then fly over to the Gorowyn Beach Outpost and find and talk to Primary Sha’Ki, who is dealing with the Pirates. Reward: None.
    • Note that if you take the Griffon ride, it will fly you all the way to another island here.Since the northern part of this first island is still not mapped out, it is highly suggested that you map this part out first before doing Quest 37. Check your zone map and head all the way back east on the island to where you first started. You can then take a swim all the way around the northern and western coasts on the island to reveal most of the remaining map here (there will still be a section in the northwest that will not be mapped as yet). Then swim back to the eastern coast to get back to land (if nothing else, your Swimming skill will go up quite a bit for doing this). After looking around for a little while, I could not find a way to map anything else on this island. Thus, you can now head back to Thulwun Station East and talk to the Griffon Tamer to the west of Secondary Shai’Dn (climb a ladder in the tower to reach him).He will ask you where you want to go. Select the option to go to and then the Griffon will take you on a flight over to the next island far to the west of Chrykori Isle and you will soon land at the Gorowyn Beach Outpost. When you arrive, go east on the platform and climb down the ladder. Then head west and talk to Primary Sha’Ki for your reward for Quest 37 (be sure you use the talk bubble that you have the plans with you).
    • Since the next series of quests is on this new island, this will conclude part 1 of the Timorous Deep Quest Strategy Guide (Part 2) will deal with this new island area. Your comments are always welcome on these guides.
