What does this information mean?
- Harvest 15 ore (iron clusters) and 15 wood (severed maple) from Antonica (or The Commonlands or Darklight Wood) and return to him with them in your inventory. He will not remove all of the ore and wood. 5 of the 15 ore and wood will be left to you. You will also receive at least 36s 21c.
- Collect three things:
- Obtain a piece of tyranium ore from a sabertooth miner ( 32, 0, -42 ) /waypoint 32, 0, -42 or a sabertooth excavator in Blackburrow.
- Obtain a piece of wood from a caveroot horror (10 minute respawn) near the grate entrance to the library ( 3, -26, -122 ) /waypoint 3, -26, -122 in Stormhold (fungus and mist are placeholders).
- Obtain the hide of Bloodtalon in The Thundering Steppes (majestic griffon is placeholder). Spawn is around ( 1027, 8, 415 ) /waypoint 1027, 8, 415.
- Return to Hwal, apparently a very thirsty dwarf.
- Obtain some beer from the The Blackburrow Brewery ( 21, -40, 61 ) /waypoint 21, -40, 61 and return to Hwal. Getting to the brewery requires a swim under water. Follow the tunnel and just as it opens up you see a stack of brown kegs stacked 3 high. Right click the top keg for update.
- Take the brew back to Hwal.
- Travel to Vhalen's Tower ( -1300, 39, 47 ) /waypoint -1300, 39, 47
in Antonica to release Hwal's grandfather from the family curse. Click the manhole cover on the floor of the tower to enter a one-room instance called "Garanel's Resting Place" whose sole occupant is the ghost of Garanel Rucksif a 25 ^^^ Heroic.
- Return to Hwal.
- Obtain two things from the The Thundering Steppes:
- Leather from a mature antelope ( 74, -2, 1245 ) /waypoint 74, -2, 1245 . Only mature antelopes will provide the update, and you may need to kill upwards of 10 before getting the quest update notice. Alternate location is a mature antelope at ( 184, 1, 1330 ) /waypoint 184, 1, 1330. Basically, all the little creatures place-hold for each other. Keep clearing them and the chances of mature antelope spawning are greatly improved. You can alternate back and forth between the two (killing centaurs for your Lore and Legend update works well too, as the respawn time is 4-5 minutes) in quick order.
- A steel bar from a firerock scout ( 895, -1, 531 ) /waypoint 895, -1, 531 and ( 300, -1, 679 ) /waypoint 300, -1, 679 and ( 913, -0.99, 541 ) /waypoint 913, -0.99, 541.
- Give the supplies to Minty Frostbeard at Village of Thundermist.
- Return to Minty Frostbeard 1 Norrathian day later (72 minutes real-time) to retrieve the boots. May require a zone or relog to update her quest status.
- Return to Hwal Rucksif, who will take the new boots and give you his old boots as a reward.
The Dwarven Work Boots are required for the quest Reinforcing a Relic.
