Journal Steps and Dialogue[]

I need to speak with Captain Tyreth in the Valley of Discipline. The forward camp is north past Cliffdiver Canyon and then east through the valley. Find Captain Tyreth in the Valley of Discipline, north of Cliffdiver Canyon. The camp is set up in an alcove on the eastern side of the valley, near an archway.

  • Captain Tyreth: "Hahaha! The attack has begun and the enemy shall fall! You must be [Player Character], here to take part in the festivities."
  • Player Character: "That's me."
  • Captain Tyreth: "Ah, you were the one who coerced those sentries out of the area before the attack. Nicely done! It is time to complete our domination. The Militia are advancing and beginning to clear the area. It is time to strike, quickly!"
  • Player Character: "What must I do?"
  • Captain Tyreth: "Take this torch. Work your way in and set fire to two of the nearby tents. Others have begun the razing as well. If another's flame fails, make sure you finish the job. This island will soon be ours!"
  • Player Character: "I'll burn the tents of the Qeynosians."

I found and spoke with Captain Tyreth. The attack has begun. I am to use a torch Captain Tyreth gave me to burn down a couple of the Tunarian tents to add to the havoc. The tents are in the Valley of Discipline and also to the east near Fisher Falls. If I lose the torch, I should return to Tyreth for another. Set fire to Tunarian tents with the torch Tyreth gave me. There are tents in the Valley of Discipline and farther northeast through the archway.

I burned down the Tunarian tents and should return to Captain Tyreth. The tents are burning. I should return to Captain Tyreth. Return to Captain Tyreth and tell him you burned the tents.

  • Captain Tyreth: "The rising smoke reveals your courage, but are you ready to finish what we have started?"
  • Player Character: "I'm ready!"
  • Captain Tyreth: "We believe that the leader of these elves waits atop a tree house, located through the archway to the east. It is certain that the flames have been spotted, so we need to act quickly. You must travel to the top of this tree house and finish the battle."
  • Player Character: "I will head to the tree house."

I returned and spoke to Captain Tyreth. The leader of the Tunarians on the island resides in a tree house to the east of the Valley of Discipline. I am to find Overseer Adrium and kill the Qeynosian before he has a chance to escape. Kill Overseer Adrium in his tree house near Fisher Falls to the east of the Valley of Discipline.

I found Overseer Adrium in his tree house and killed him. I need to report back to Captain Tyreth and tell him the good news of Adrium's Death. I should return to Captain Tyreth and tell him that I have slain the Tunarian leader.

  • Captain Tyreth: "So, Adrium is dead. I take it you found the key?"
  • Player Character: "How did you know about the key?"
  • Captain Tyreth: "You still have much to learn [Player Character], but I'll let you in on a little secret. Sometimes things are best left unsaid until they reveal themselves. We have been watching your every move and you have proven quite worthy of our true goal."
  • Player Character: "What, our goal isn't to take the island?"
  • Captain Tyreth: "Of course it is, but there is something more. You know that mine that you took the samples from? The samples were packed with precious lapis lazuli, more so than any other source near Freeport."
  • Player Character: "So I've been used?"
  • Captain Tyreth: "No [Player Character], you've been training. Training for the final confrontation you are about to take part in. You think Tayil couldn't have just done this all herself? Prove to us you are ready to become an esteemed citizen of Freeport and share in the wealth."
  • Player Character: "What must I do?"
  • Captain Tyreth: "We've been "questioning" some captives and had scouts follow the Tunarian haulers from the mine to a cave near the back of Adrium's tree house. We believe that this cave holds the true leaders of the elves, known as the Circle of Elders."
  • Player Character: "And what about the loot you spoke of?"
  • Captain Tyreth: "Ha ha, good form! You sound like a Freeport citizen already! The loot should be in the cave. Nothing has left the island for months, we've had it completely surrounded. Head in there and take care of the elders."
  • Player Character: "Consider it done."

I returned to Captain Tyreth. A larger plot has emerged. Adrium was not the leader of the Tunarians. I am to use the key I found to enter a cave to the north of Adrium's tree house and confront the true leaders, the Circle of Elders. The precious gems from the Tunarian mine have also been stockpiled there, which is of interest to Tayil. Head into the cave north of Adrium's tree house and take out the Tunarian Circle of Elders.

  • Tayil N'Velex: "Well done, [Player Character]. That fool Kayl had no idea what was coming! The Tunarians are finished on this island."
  • Player Character: "So the battle is over?"
  • Tayil N'Velex: "Yes, our efforts have been a success. The island is ours, and so is this fine assortment of valuables! The Overlord will hear of your bravery, [Player Characeter]. As promised, here is a reward that will prove useful in your future adventures."
  • Player Character: "Thank you, Tayil."

I slew the elders and received an excellent reward. I confronted the Circle of Elders and at the last second, Tayil appeared and wiped the last of them into oblivion. Tayil will take the riches back to the Overlord, but she gave me a weapon as a reward. I have done all I can to help Tayil and may now leave the island whenever I choose by speaking to the citizenship registrar on the southern dock.

I burned down the Tunarians tents and killed what I thought to be the Tunarian Leader, Overseer Adrium. It turned out that Tayil had known all along that there was a Circle of Elders and a horde of treasure. I was sent inside the Cave of Elders and destroyed them, with a little help from Tayil. I was given my choice of treasure and have finished my duties helping Tayil N'Velex to take the island.
