Tayil is rumored to be the lover of the Overlord, Lucan D'Lere. She is without doubt his most trusted agent.

TRIVIA: She is the Dark Elf female seen in the Intro Movie; while on a spying mission in Qeynos, at the side of Lucan D'Lere in Freeport, and attacking the warrior in the final scene. If the information in the movie is to be trusted, she is a Necromancer.

She appears three times in-game:

• Tayil N'Velex (KOS) in Tenebrous Tangle in the Hidden Refuge
• Tayil N'Velex (TSO) in Lucan D'Lere's house during the quest The Shadow Odyssey: Prologue
