T4 Void Beam Armor Components wrong?
Edit
I am just barely starting my Void Armor, but I thought that the Armor Patterns are traded in with a piece of T3 Armor to give you the Armor Mold just like the T3 armor? I will look into this and as I progress I will update this section. Maybe someone else already knows? --Kding 20:02, 28 April 2009 (UTC) (ex-palidan)
- No. The full x4 raid armor (I usually don't usually see it called T4) requires only the raid-drop pattern, a few void shards, and some cash to buy. It was put in game before the new "T3" from the x2 raid ever existed, so it could not possibly require the T3 armor to make. In summary of the TSO armor system... T1 armor is made from regular harvests and voidshards (or purchased with shards). T2 armor is made from the matching T1, some harvests, and void shards (or purchased with shards and the T2). T3 armor is purchased using the matching T2 and the mold. The mold is 'purchased' using the pattern (which drops in the x2 raid) and a few void shards. The T3 is kinda weird in that you have to buy it in two steps (the first transforming the pattern --> mold, then transforming the mold + t2 --> t3). I may have the terms backwards (it may be molds that drop and you 'buy' the pattern). My guess is it is a limitation of the way you can buy with items -- there is only room for two items to be taken when you buy, so they couldn't take the pattern, T2 armor, and void shards all in one step without changing that. So instead you get the current system. Next is the full raid set (what you called the "T4"). That is purchased using a pattern from a TSO x4 raid zone, some void shards, and cash, that's it. If you have any other questions, I raid actively so I should be able to answer them here. --lordebon 20:15, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
