Ive always been curious as to the borders under and around mobs names. Below are the 3 types you see. I cant find a pattern to them. Above my level doesn't change them...difficulty doesn't seem to matter, number in the group doesn't change them. Can someone explain the borders? :)

The borders reflect the v and ^ and the diffculty.
- The weekest possible mob has vvv solo => no border
- Medium mobs are ^^^ heroic => have a quite huge border
- Hardest mobs are ^^^ Epic x4 => have a really huge border with symbols
The harder the mob the bigger (more details) has the border --

- To expand on what Chili has said... the "plain border" applies to vvv and vv mobs. The curved border should be for v, and no-arrow mobs.^, ^^ and ^^^ x1 mobs get the 'spikey border'. Epic mobs get the spikey border plus a little banner below the straight part. The banner has 2 crowns if it's x2 epic, 4 if it's x4, I believe. If you want to see the exact con of the mob (in terms of arrows) you can change to the 'simple' consider style in the option and I believe that will remove the artistic part. Or just ignore it and go by the arrows. --lordebon 22:53, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
Ahh ok - so heroic and non heroic dont have anything to do with borders - borders are just a redundant less detailed way of translating the arrows. Got it - thanks :) --Mirinesse 01:49, February 13, 2010 (UTC)Mirinesse
