BugEdit

Attempted this quest on 01/20/10 and it is currently broken. Giidib does not spawn at the rock in the beaver pond, However the quest updates as if he did, but you can never get past "Lead Giidib back to the nearest guard tower." I did this quest tonight Feb 1 2010, and Giidib did spawan for me when I clicked on the rock. At frist I thought ya this is still bugged, but when I turned around he was behind me. I click on him had him follow me to guard tower where he die. So not bugged for me but I have had this quest in my log since 2006. (yes I have been gone a long time.)

I went back and did this quest again after removeing it from my journal and again he did not spawn but as I was sitting there telling a guild member about it and reporting it as a bug he suddenly popped into existance in front of me so apparently either he spawns right away or perhaps if someone has done this step in the quest recently he is on a short respawn timer?--Tigtiger 12:16, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

As I recall from when I did it eons ago (back when it came out) he does have a brief respawn timer. --lordebon 13:14, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately you can't keep him as a pet since it appears there is a timer on him. He vanished maybe 10 min or less. It is funny you can change his name in the pet options. Minutes after changing his name to Smokejumpy (get the reference :p), he vanished :(. --Itpaladin 03:02, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
