The celtic knot to start the quest is on the rug on the top platform. When you are on the right place your cursor will bring up a little brown box saying "The Scaleborn Vault".

The 4 clues at on the outside of each pillar at the bottom of the fat part of the pillar (not the base, but the pillar itself)
