Picked up the pup and brought it back to Handler Shirsha, only to have her ignore the pup's presence. She just told me that the trained animals are important. So, I deleted the quest; logged off/on to get rid of my new wolf pup pet (it was gone when I logged in) and went back and got the quest again. Same results. I have a wolf pup pet and the quest, but Handler Shirasha will not take the pup off my hands. I wonder if the problem is that I also have a griffawn in training... Well, I traveled to the Great Divide to "/taunt" my griffawn, only to have the quest fixed when I returned to the Withered lands. I no longer have a pup, but I do have the follow on quest.
