This quest does not start by talking to Deacon Danerous, but rather by talking to Preceptor Nyjuss in North Freeport - the guy for the final turn in of the mysterious trinket. After you get the Fabled reward, immeditately re-hail Nyjuss to start the "Better Tomorrow" quest.

Steps:

• 1. Intercept Opalla Darkbriar in the Commonlands.
  • Opalla will turn into an 85 epic *2 upon hailing. There are reports that she is killable with a single group.
• 2. Return to Preceptor Nyjuss
• 3. Kill the Widowmistress - ROK raid mob in "The Tomb of Thuuga" zone.
• 4. Return to Preceptor Nyjuss
• 5. Kill Leviathan - ROK raid mob in "The Chamber of Destiny" zone.
• 6. Return to Preceptor Nyjus
• 7. Kill Druushk - ROK raid mob in "Veeshan's Peak" zone.

Controller Kenjedeau in the Backalley Brewhouse instance of West Freeport gives the update after you kill Opal Darkbriar. Will update as the quest progresses further.

How do you get to this instance then? Where do you specifically go to get the update after killing Opal Darkbriar?--Kodia 16:40, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Confirmed Controller Kenjedeau is also the update after killing the Drachnid Queen in Tomb of Thuuga. He is in an instance at the back ofthe Backalley Brewhouse in West Freeport. The door will highlight when you hover over it.

Additionally, this quest is called "Catching a Thief" in my journal.

According to EQ2 Flames (skip the childish taunts and teenager language) there are actually two possible ways to complete this. We'll need some additional clarifications here before we start adding to the timeline information.--Kodia 14:51, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
