This page states: "The ending of this series tells you to seek out the uneasy resting place of Kane Bayle in the The Crypt of Betrayal but gives no better pointer than that."

I disagree on this interpretation. The mention of Kane Bayle is more to do with lore, it doesn't actively tell you to seek out Kane Bayle's grave at all, just to go to the zone (i.e. Crypt of Betrayal) that contains his grave for more adventures. The text also suggests that you receive a key (though you actually don't). I wonder if it was supposed to be an access quest at some point, then they changed it? Note that the quest is called "Into the Crypt of Betrayal".

The NPC's exact words are: "Your journey will take to the depths of the catacombs, and into the Crypt of Betrayal, where Kane's body has its uneasy rest". Make of that what you will.
