For what it is worth, here is how this series of quests played out for me:

I completed Runnyeye Filth a total of 11 times with a 1 hour cool-off between each. At that point, the janitor offered me the quest A Raging Mess which we completed. I found the Master of the Guard and The Beguiler already spawned in their respective rooms. The Master of the Guard was not part of the ambush event -- in fact the ambush event occurred as we were in the process of killing the Master of the Guard.

Upon reporting back to the janitor to receive the reward for A Raging Mess, he immediately offered Even More Filth with no cool-off period. That order seemed at odds with other descriptions I have read for these quests, but I was just happy to get all of them done. Kirskax 13:51, September 22, 2010 (UTC)Kirskax
