Status points
Status points are a kind of earned currency which can be used to purchase unique items that would otherwise be unavailable to you. If you visit a merchant and some of the price of the item is displayed in light blue, then you will need to use status points to pay that cost. To keep track of how much status you have earned, you can view your current status amount on the Persona window ("C") right next to your primary adventuring stats.
If you belong to a guild, then a bonus of 10% of any status you earn also gets credited to the guild. This in turn enables the guild to level up and thereby allow you to gain access to particular equipment and housing as well as to benefit the guild with larger Guild Banks and Guild Hall Amenities. The "Guild Status" amount is the running total of how much status how have helped earn for your current guild. This number resets whenever you change guilds. Note that although your personal status will reduce when you spend it, your personal contribution to your guild's status is only affected by earning status.
