What does this information mean?
This is the Scholar class subquest in the Artisan Epic Timeline. Talk to Neeta Cabbageleaf at The Fools Gold in Rivervale.
- Go to the Tower of the Moon in Maj'Dul.
- Speak to the Steward of the Vizier.
- The Steward will ask you to collect recipe pages from the Library of Light.
- Exit the Tower of the Moon and go down the stairs to the Library of Light (near the Maj'Dul main gate). Enter the special tradeskill instance of this zone.
- Powerful Djinn (10-20 levels higher than you) roam this zone.
- Avoid the Djinn by harvesting a weighty tome from the bookcases around the zone. Place the book(s) in a hotbar slot and throw them at the Djinn to stun them for 1 minute, this gives time to run past and search for the book pages you need.
- WARNING: Do not throw a weighty tome at a Djinn if they are already stunned (name is in white). Doing so will awake the Djinn instantly, who will thereafter be unstunable. At this point you will have to exit the instance to reset the Djinn. Doing so causes a loss of progress of pages from inventory, though they will still be checked off on the quest updates. You will have to recollect them. You will also lose all your collected weighty tomes. Safer to only throw books at Djinn when they are not stunned.
- Collect the pieces of the book from downstairs in the short central bookcases while avoiding Djinn.
- Bookcases are in four rows of two. As you look into the room from the bottom of the stairs, the bookcases on the right hand side are the ones containing pages. Each bookcase contains only one page but the location of that page is random for each scholar {I have done this on two toons and the pages were in the same place on both occasions - right hand side - pages 1 & 2 on inward facing sides of near pair of bookcases - pages 3 & 4 on outward facing sides of far pair}. The pages can be found from a highlighting 3 volume set (exactly how the heavy tomes are found). Hint, the exact order of pages 1-4 in your quest log is the exact order of bookcases 1-4, respectively.
- Once you have collected the book pieces, go upstairs to the crafter tables.
- Collect the recipe for repairing the book by searching the bookcase to the right of the crafting stations.
- Scribe the recipe (lvl 100, but it was not hard to craft) and craft (restore) the book.
- Return to Neeta in Rivervale. You CANNOT call out of the library, you must exit the zone first or you will waste a call spell.
