Sales Display
There are 2 types of sales displays the general-purpose Salesman's Crate and the Limited Display Case. A Salesman's Crate can hold anything you put in it, including non-crafted items, to sell on the broker. The collection of Limited Display Cases describes containers that will only hold items that correspond to the case name and specific player made tradeskill products. These consignment containers were introduced in LU25, shortly after the LU24 revamp of the broker consignment system. Once placed in a broker slot through the Market Board in a player's house they become interactive "merchant" (furniture) objects that allow the sale of items directly to any player who visits the house, thus negating the broker system's commission fees.
How to place a sales display in your character's house:
- Enter the house you want to place the display in
- Open A market bulletin board by clicking on on bulletin board to open the broker window
- Right click on the icon for the sales display in the broker window
- Choose "Place Sales Display" from the drop-down options. Doing so will make the display into a furniture item.
- Using your mouse, move the display to the location you prefer and click again to drop it into place.
The production of a Sales Display requires a rare wood. The higher the tier (level) of the wood, the more the display can hold. Sales displays are Mastercrafted broker-use-only containers, made by Carpenters. There is no difference in the appearance of a display from one tier to another.
For a complete list of displays, see Category:Sales Display (Item Type).
