Speak to the follower of the Burning Prince in the Temple of Solusek Ro in Lavastorm. This is Marathan Allim, in the library located at ( -430, -61, -662 ) /waypoint -430, -61, -662.
Marathan will resist, and will spawn four waves of constructs of Ro for you to defeat. You'll get a single level 54, pair of 54v, trio of 54vv and quartet of 54vv constructs in separate waves. If you back up to the wall in the library, you can control when you start fighting; the constructs' aggro radius is not very large.
Speak to Marathan again. This time he will agree to come with you. He will despawn and reappear as a non-attackable NPC that follows you. Marathan will defend you like a normal pet; however, just as a normal pet dies, he can also die. Since he spawns as a non-attackable NPC, there is no way of telling what his health is. If one allows Marathan to die, then they must travel all the way back and get him again.
When you reach the torch with Marathan, you get a quest update and Marathan despawns.
The game will actually give you a waypoint to the Torch. Do not log out, enter any zone, (evac will work, using the horses for quick travel to the tunnel works Also having a Conjourer Casting Call of hero on the person who is leading Marathan will work as well <if the conji is near the Tourch of Ro will work as well> also if you have the gear to go back up to Sol's eye its a much quicker run) until you reach the Torch of Ro or you will need to go back to get Marathan at the starting point, since you can't make him follow you again. Respawn is for Marathan after someone got him is around 5 min.
