Kultak the Cruel comes with 4 adds, 2 heroic Groundtroopers and 2 Epicx4 Infantry Soldiers
There are several locations where Kultak can be tanked but the main requisite is max range for the healers and somewhere to joust for the DPS.
Several things will happen at the beginning of the encounter:
- MT will grab the boss whilst the OT pulls the adds which should be burnt down first. The Epicx2 Infantry Soldiers do have a mem-blur so another fighter is handy to fetch them back. DPS the adds away from Kultak.
- Kultak's Orders will be cast on the raid, it will impact 1-2 players and appears as a curse, if not cured in about 8-10 secs the fight is over. This is recast about every 24 secs. Anyone cursed by Kultak's Orders will receive a red screen message saying "Kultak's orders weigh heavily upon you".
- Frenzied Slice is a slashing AoE that does more damage the closer you are and DPS should be more than 15m away, this is pretty hard on cloth/leather classes for guilds first tackling this boss. Frenzied Slice can crit, so Critical Mitigation gear is strongly advised. AoE blocking on the pull can keep you up for the first round until the Kultak is debuffed. Frenzied Slice is on a 40 second timer.
After the adds are burnt down the fight becomes a matter of keeping Kultak debuffed, curing Kultak's Orders and jousting Frenzied Slice. Periodically, Kultak will use Deathly Touch on the MT which is poison damage and can hit for very high damage if it crits.
