- You must complete the quests on Kerra Isle up to Need More Proof and the quests in Stonebrunt Encampment up to An Interesting Find to receive this quest.

- Ghalib has sent you to look for more strange bones like the one you found in the Kejaan's Rill riverbed. You need to kill carnivores for 10 chest-drop updates (a shard of strange bone). Mobs known to drop these bones include:
- a bristlevine horror ( 463, 150, 2723 ) /waypoint 463, 150, 2723 or a briarroot horror ( 757, -1, 3358 ) /waypoint 757, -1, 3358
- a crageye stalker
- a feral bruiser ( 713, 127, 2982 ) /waypoint 713, 127, 2982
- a petrified roper ( 1400, 7, 3894 ) /waypoint 1399.55, 6.99, 3893.72
- a stonecold carrion ( 926, 65, 3543 ) /waypoint 925.73, 64.59, 3543.39
- a Tox fly ( 742, 66, 3112 ) /waypoint 742, 66, 3112
- a toxic kobold (located near the Toxxulia guardians and Toxxulia winged sentinels) ( 282, 142, 2840 ) /waypoint 282, 142, 2840
- a Toxxulia guardian or a Toxxulia winged sentinel ( 282, 142, 2840 ) /waypoint 282, 142, 2840
- a Toxxulia prowler ( 1282, -42, 3157 ) /waypoint 1282, -42, 3157
- Return to Ghalib.
- Look around Kejaan's Rill for any sign of what animal the bones could have come from.
- Find Jin'tu at ( 565, 196, 4000 ) /waypoint 565, 196, 4000.
- Tell Ghalib you found nothing in the Kejaan's Rill river.
