Pre-shattering, Highpass Hold (sometimes referred to as "High Hold Pass") served as the main route of travel between the cities of Qeynos and Freeport. Plagued by the presence of both orcs and gnolls at the former north and south entrances, the pass managed to attract travelers from all areas of Norrath due to the rumors of knowledge about such legendary items as the Polished Granite Tomahawk and the Shiny Brass Halberd, which have since been re-discovered. In fact, many a rogue sought out the denizens of the pass in search of information about the famed weapon, Fatestealer, the location of which has been lost to time.
