Guild Level
The Guild Level of a guild is an indication of collectively-gathered status points. This level can range from 1 to 90.
Guild Status Points (not to be confused with personal Status points) are a measure of progress towards advancement for a guild in the same way that Adventuring Experience is a measure of progress towards advancement for an individual character. In short, Guild Level is the guild analog to Player Level.
However, the gained Adventuring Experience of characters in a guild does not contribute to the Guild Level. Guild Level is strictly a function of Guild Status Points.
There are three primary ways by which Guild Status Points may be amassed:
- Guild members who complete writs will earn both personal Status points as well as Guild Status.
- Any individual member of the guild will automatically contribute Guild Status equal to 10% of gained personal Status points. For example, if a guild member completed a quest yielding 1000 personal Status Points, the guild would gain 100 Guild Status. This includes personal Status Points gained through the sale of Status Items.
- Killing certain high-level (often raid) mobs will earn both personal Status points as well as Guild Status.

Estimated Guild Status Threshholds
Edit
The subject of when a guild "dings" a level has been of contentious debate for many years. The system does appear to be a "ramp," with slightly more Guild Status required for each level than the one before it, but there are some steeper ramps at certain points than at others.
