Greater Faydark is the homeland for the Feir'Dal, Koada'Dal and Fae, however, after the events of the War of Fay, only the latter remained in large numbers. During the war, countless elves lost their lives from the onslaught of the Thex Empire. Alongside their orc allies, Thex soldiers put Faydark to the torch and the landscape was heavily burnt. Fortunately, the forces of Tunare prevailed. Since the war, the fae have been working on growing Faydark to it's former majesty.
Geography[]
Greater Faydark is a zone steeped in nature. From towering trees, to mushroom forests, to rivers that crisscross the terrain, to wildlife that is often more friendly than aggressive, Faydark is the perfect location for players of Good-alignment to start their journey.
Towns[]
Greater Faydark is the optional starting location for Fae, Dwarves, Wood Elves, High Elves, and Gnomes, and tucked away in the north part of the zone, The Nursery is where these players begin their adventure. In the southwest, on platforms built into the canopy of the Faydark's mighty trees, exists the Fae-city of Kelethin. Although not it's own zone, as the player can seemissly hop between the city and leafy undergrowth beneath it, Kelethin offers all the amenities of any of the major cities: housing, tavern, guild hall, bank, and merchants of all types.
Travel[]
A set of horse routes offer quick travel between all the major sections of the zone. The horse will take you from Kelethin to each of the adjacent zones and Crushbone. The Kelethin station is located under the city near the Old Kelethin Lift. You no longer have to visit each station to unlock it for travel.
