This quest is part 3 of a 6-quest series from Division Supplier Gaertarn. See Additional Zek Quests.
Catapult Ammo Suppliers, Far Seas Supplier - Blood Ore Pick, Utilitarian Desires of the Miners and Disrupting the Mining Operation all require you to kill Vallon miners so it is advisable to do these quests together, if possible.
Starting the Quest

Speak to Division Supplier Gaertarn, who is located in a tent on the east side of the fort.
- Must have completed the quest Far Seas Supplier - Black Sap.
Steps Edit
- Visit Blood Ore Valley for a quest update. ( 360, 0, -120 ) /waypoint 360, 0, -120
- Kill Vallon miners (level 33) until you receive a pick. This usually takes about 5 kills. You can find a few of them above ground, but the best place to find miners is down the mine shaft.
- Note: occasionally, a heroic group of Vallon mechanics guard the mine lift. In this case, you will need an invisibility totem to get past them. (or just kill them!)
- Inspect an unused pick. The pick is a clickable item on the top level of the open mine pit. ( 300, -30, -130 ) /waypoint 300, -30, -130 Get there by going up the ramps from the bottom of the lift. It is stuck in a pile of rubble. The orcs patrolling this level are level 34-35, but they can be avoided.
- Speak to Gaertarn to receive your reward.
