From EQ2i, the EverQuest II wiki

I am wondering how to handle the damage amounts for each spell/art level (app 1--master 2). The problem I face is that they vary, depending on the stats of the character from which they are viewed. The differences may not be much, but neither are the differences from one level to the next.

I guess we could always view them with no equipment to help normalize them but that is asking a lot of random contributers. --SwordMage 08:14, 6 December 2006 (CET)

All we can do is our best. If/when they get the spell themselves they will see the damga that is correct for them. Would everyone feel better if I added a link in the template to a page that we can use to explain how spell damage is calculated and what affects it? --Florence Sopher of Lucan D'Lere (talk/contribs) 19:56, 6 December 2006 (CET)

I guess I am just wondering what the bang for the buck is of trying to collect the info on per level damage is since any given person can probably only fill in one or two levels. As long as we can live with the inconsistancies and the unreported levels, it can't hurt to have them there.

I wasn't so worried about the difference between what we list here and any given character's experience, but rather the internal consistency of the list for any given spell. That said, I don't necessarily think we need the disclaimer on every page. --SwordMage 23:19, 7 December 2006 (CET)

[edit] Listing spells without levels

Making class spell lists are very unhelpful without the levels noted next to them. If you want to make the site useful in anyway considering spells, list the levels and order they are recieved.

go to the individual class pages, lists by level are there. this is the category where everything that uses the {{SpellInfomation}} template gets added too --Uberfuzzy 13:33, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Spell Naming Conventions
What we are looking to do is move to a standard naming convention. So instead of say having Ice Comet, Ice Nova and Bolt of Ice there would be one spell line called Ice Comet. You would see in your spell book Ice Comet I, Ice Comet II, etc. Combat text on the other hand would just refer to Ice Comet without the version number.
