Cover of the retail package of Kingdom of Sky

Ulteran Spires across the Shattered Lands have opened up, allowing access between the surface world of Norrath and the sky world the Overrealm. Unfortunately for the denizens of the surface, this is a two-way connection and the dragon forces of The Empire of the Awakened aim to exploit it. Now is the time to usher in the Age of Scale, where dragonkind will assume it's rightful and natural place as lords of Norrath. Will you allow these arrogant winged beasts to expand their kingdom onto the surface, or will you spread the might of the surface onto them?

Released on February 21, 2006, Kingdom of Sky was the second expansion for EverQuest II. It includes a new level cap of 70 for adventurers and artisans, new items and quests, new monsters to fight, alternate ways of advancing your character and the ability to increase a guild to level 50. Kingdom of Sky is also known as LU20.

Starting the Adventure[]

Start your adventure in the Overrealm by taking an Ulteran Spire to Tenebrous Tangle. Simply click on the portal at the center of any Spire in the world and a game map will open up, allowing you to teleport to any other connected Spire. There were originally six Ulteran Spires spread throughout the Shattered Lands: Antonica, The Commonlands, Nektulos Forest, The Thundering Steppes, The Enchanted Lands, and The Feerrott. However, post-LU56 all the Spires opened up to each other.
