What Makes Bretheren
Edit
Leadership
Edit
- Bretheren has a fairly unique proposition as far as our leadership goes in so much as we have a five-member leadership team called The Bretheren High Council.
- The benefit of a five-member system is that we are able to contemplate ideas and have several minds can weigh in on topics. This also means that we often have leaders online throughout most of the day giving us a lot of coverage. Our current Bretheren High Council consists of Jaxan, Marsala Chicken, Terrorsaur Fearmonger, and Nihtfyr Azurewing, overseen by our deputising Senior Guild Leader, Thoreandan Dragonhand, who is overseeing the guilds direction in the absence of our Senior Guild Leader, Roko Loko.
- Our leadership has its own private forum community, whereby we discuss guild matters on a daily basis, in a bid to improve every aspect of the guild, and help drive it and its membership forward. We also have our own regular leadership email entitled the Bretheren High Council Chronicles that rounds-up forum discussion matters ensuring all leaders are aware of current matters that need to be discussed.
Membership
Edit
- Requirements:
- We have no restriction on a members EQ2 / MMORPG experience, and are happy to welcome on board and help nurture players new to the game and this style of game. Everyone has to start out somewhere, and our membership consists of many knowledgeable, but above all, helpful folk, who are more than happy to help new members and new players to the game in any way they can.
- Requirements:
- As previously stated, we have no restrictions on race, class, gender, or alignment. We have no restrictions on players who choose to "box" characters (i.e. players who play more than one account at a time), as long as no nefarious behaviour occurs that may bring the guild into disrepute.
- The only things we do ask however is that members are 18 years of age and above, are able to speak enough English to communicate successfully with fellow guild mates, and above all, are able show respect and courtesy to their fellow guild members, and play fairly amongst the EverQuest 2 community at large.
- It's important to note that we prefer our members to be guild orientated, and want to be part of our team! We like members to contribute to the guild by helping their fellow guild members and friends, earning status, and general contributions for the good of the guild. Members who don't meet our expectations in this manner after awhile may be asked to find a more suitable home. On the other hand those members whose contributions are recognised may even find themselves being the focus of our "Member of the Month" competition earning themselves a respectable financial reward, and a Mannequin for placing their appearance gear on to grace our Guild Hall's Grand Entrance Hall for a 1-month period!
Guild Website:
- Once an approved guild member, we require all members to register to join our excellent guild web site, which features regular news content, forums, galleries, events calendar, instant messaging, guild and game information, hints, tips and guides, as well as many other useful EQ2 related tools and help. We're very proud of it, and aim to continually develop and improve all aspects of it. We expect our members to keep abreast of the latest news and forum discussion on our web site and ideally pro-actively participate and contribute wherever possible.

Regular Events
Edit
Some of our many regular events include...
Dungeon of the Week:
Edit
- Alternating between low level and high level, the Dungeon of the Week was designed to give our members a common point of destination throughout the week in which to adventure. Many times this involves the earning of specific achievements or missions within. Dungeon of the Week is also a time for our guild transmuters and deity followers to stock up on unneeded drops in which to tithe or hone their craft.
Training Zone of the Week:
Edit
- The Training Zone of the Week is commonly a more difficult instance in which we make runs in order to better understand the strategy involved in completing it, in a minimum stress enviornment. The intention is that all members will have a chance to not only experience these more difficult zones, but also have a chance to learn how to run them.
Guild Mission of the Week:
Edit
- A regular forthcoming roleplaying fun-event with guild members which will entail all manner of things from killing specific named mobs to replenishing guild supplies. Fun as well as various prizes to be had!
Battlegrounds Night:
Edit
- Thursday nights are our regular battlegrounds, where the guilds main focus on this night will be on the newly added Battlegrounds. Of course members aren't restricted to only playing in Battlegrounds on a Thursday, nor by the same token are they limited to playing in Battlegrounds only on a Thursday, the aim is that the focus will be predominantly Battlegrounds on Thursday nights.
Guild Status Night:
Edit
- Tuesday nights are our regular guild status nights, where the guilds main focus on this night will be raising guild status / experience. Of course members aren't restricted to raising guild experience only on a Tuesday, nor by the same token are they limited to only doing this on a Tuesday, the aim is that the focus will be predominantly be earning guild status and in turn guild experience on Tuesday nights, via City Tasks, Tradeskill Tasks, Heritage Quests, and any other appropriate means.
