Steps Edit

1. Speak with Finbert Lintzig, at Gnomeland Security Headquarters ( -584, 175, 959 ) /waypoint -584, 175, 959
2. Install the 3 Little Black Boxes given to you by Finbert Lintzig into the Inoperative Clockwork ( -1119, 79, 944 ) /waypoint -1119, 79, 944
   • The Inoperative Clockwork turns into Opticron (non-aggro) which is serviced by several clockworks that it destroys and then becomes the Haywire Opticron (42^).
3. Slay the Haywire Opticron (respawn time is about 5-6 minutes)
4. Return Finbert Lintzig

• One of the following, depending on class:
  • Manaforge Greaves - Berserker, Guardian, Paladin, Shadowknight
  • Manafuse Leggings - Bruiser, Monk
  • Manalink Leggings - All Scouts

Fun FactsEdit

When booting up, before turning into an attackable mob, the Opticron says 2 things in Tik-Tok. When this quest was first put in the game, the language was not available to players, but nearly all clockwork mobs and NPCs spoke in it. The language was later made available to players via a quest in Moors of Ykesha when The Shadow Odyssey launched.

For those of you who don't want to wait to get the language, then come back for this quest, here is what the NPC says:

The NPC then spins around, "killing" the clockworks that came to its aid, then turns into the Named Monster Opticron
