Kantus is one part of the divided soul of Rikantus Everling.[1] Another part of the soul resides in Rikantus (who lives at the cemetery in Antonica). Once you have completed Nektropos Castle: Tribulation, Antiquitor Kantus will have some new things to say to you. He has beside him a book called the 1001 Tales of Maj'Dul, which features in several quests.
