This is a subquest of Welcome to the Peacock Club in The Peacock Club Timeline.

StepsEdit

NOTE: Reading the story "The Tale of Mal'Ahkt" in the book 1001 Tales of Maj'Dul will allow you to avoid killing the The Guardian of Ank'Nief (no AA) in the final step of this quest. The book is located next to Antiquitor Kantus Mor'Tael on Outcast's Ledge in Maj'Dul ( -239, 135, -7 ) /waypoint -239, 135, -7.

This cannot be done in a group as keys are unique and only one set is given per instance. You need all three keys in your inventory to open the case. Make sure you disband and go in separately or you'll have to do it again!

  1. Zone into Court of Truth's Service Entrance at ( -147, 150, 19 ) /waypoint -147, 150, 19 and complete the following within 10 minutes.
  2. Kill the three Historians (Da'ran, Faz'in, Mandala) in the instance, along with their encounters, and loot the keys from each.
    • ( -0, -0, 2 ) /waypoint -0.06, -0.14, 2.32
    • ( 17, -0, 5 ) /waypoint 17.33, -0.14, 5.16
    • ( -34, -18, 47 ) /waypoint -33.90, -18.33, 47.13
    • Be careful before clicking on doors! One Historian is in a small room and there is a door behind him. This is the front entrance to the House of Truth. It is possible to zone out of here by accident and then you have to start all over.
  3. Examine the glass casing in the large room on the bottom floor.
    • You must kill The Guardian of Ank'Nief to exit, unless you have the ability to "say his name" before entering.
    • If you have the ability, choose the option to "speak the name of the guardian" while inspecting the glass casing.
    • If you do not, you must kill The Guardian of Ank'Nief after he spawns. An invisible barrier will prevent you from leaving until you do. NOTE: If the barrier does not drop after you kill The Guardian of Ank'Nief, re-trigger the dialog by inspecting the casing again. Once he respawns, kill him again. If the barricade still does not drop, you will eventually run out of time and fail the quest. Zone out through the service entrance and follow the steps above to gain the ability to "say his name" before re-entering the service entrance. (when you start fighting, but don't kill the guardian, the barrier is gone and you can leave the room). NOTE 2 : It takes some time before the barrier dissapears. So be patient.
  4. Exit through servants exit for your reward
