examine a vault lid in the ground at the Vultak Scavenging Site at ( -662, 133, -125 ) /waypoint -662, 133, -125
Clues to opening the vault can be found by examining a stone at ( -668, 134, -156 ) /waypoint -668, 134, -156 .
You then have to find a number of labelled stones around the island. Each one seems to have two spawn points. They are:
Avit ( -637, 135, -182 ) /waypoint -637, 135, -182 or ( -686, 146, -182 ) /waypoint -686, 146, -182
Aeristok ( -655, 136, -174 ) /waypoint -655, 136, -174 or ( -657, 134, -142 ) /waypoint -657, 134, -142
Ampoel ( -733, 144, -145 ) /waypoint -733, 144, -145 or ( -760, 133, -156 ) /waypoint -760, 133, -156

Romiak ( -775, 133, -45 ) /waypoint -775, 133, -45 (on top of pillar) or ( -718, 176, -70 ) /waypoint -718, 176, -70
Luetef ( -722, 137, -180 ) /waypoint -722, 137, -180 or ( -710, 147, -177 ) /waypoint -710, 147, -177
Nebues ( -689, 134, -203 ) /waypoint -689, 134, -203 or ( -705, 155, -171 ) /waypoint -705, 155, -171
Foeg ( -646, 132, -123 ) /waypoint -646, 132, -123 or ( -668, 146, -42 ) /waypoint -668, 146, -42

You then have to put the stones back in the temple (same building as the vault) between the pillars.
Move your cursor around on the walls between the pillars to find loose stones.
Right click these to place the stones.
Do this once for each of the stones you found.
Finally, click on the vault again to open it.
As of 04/17/2008, I had to start with the NW most corner of the temple and then there was another between every pillar going counter-clockwise. I do not know if the first one is random, or always starts with the NW corner.
